"House
of blue light" fut un album discret dès sa sortie.
En effet la musique est bonne mais moins bonne que le précédent
"Perfect Stranger".
On retient que "Bad Attitude" (avec son intro à
la Perfect Stranger) et "Mitzy Dupree" qui sont assez
interressant, le reste étant assez moyen: "Dead or
Alive" surprend par sa rythmique, "Hard Lovin'Woman"
n'est pas mauvais.
L'album est assez "vieillot" dans l'ensemble (Peut-être
car il est bluesy...). Il est vrai également qu'au fil
des écoutes il devienne assez lassant (Je trouve que les
titres se ressemblent assez).
Il peut se révèlé être un bon album
pour les amateur de blue/rock. Ceci dit, les problèmes
reprennent ou ils étaient restés entre Blackmore
et Gillian à cette époque. Laurent
