VICTORY
|
| The
previous album of Victory was released back in 1996. What did you do during
the last seven years Herman Frank had his own band "Moon´Doc" Tommy Newton runs his own recording studio and is producing bands Fritz Randow joined "Saxon" Charlie Huhn joined the US band "Foghat" Peter Knorn started a management company "United Talents Management" Why did you decide to get together again Fritz had the idea. He had been asked by a festival promoter over 2 years ago. So he called the other guys and we all thought that it is a good idea. It took us almost a year to find Charlie in USA until we found out that he lives close to Detroit. After a little while the German record label SPV contacted us and asked if we would be interested in a record deal which we were. |

| The
singer of your comeback is Charlie Huhn. Why him instead of Fernando Garcia,
who sang with you from 1989 to 1996 Since we did this new album with a lot of fun and were not in a rush at all, we thought that Chalie´s (a little bit more bluesy) voice fits the songs better. What do you think of the reforming of bands like Twisted Sister, 220 Volts, etc? Don't you think that it would do wrong to their image instead of valorizing it To reform a band is not a bad thing. Sometimes bands broke up because they couldn´t take the pace anymore. Every year a new album, every time to be ready for touring etc can be very tuff on the long run. So a long break can be healthy for some bands. You played the W:O:A 2003, how did the audience welcomed you Playing on W:O:A is not an easy job, unless you are really big time or a younger band, playing more contemporary music. It also was our first show (not considering the sold out warm up show we had a day before in Hamburg). Considering this all we did an okay job, but the audience was celebrating Saxon (played right after us) much more. |
| In 1989, 'Culture
Killed The Native' hit the US charts. Today, nu-metal bands are successful
over there. Do you think that 'traditional' hard-rock and heavy metal still
have a chance in this country Absolutely! In retrospect, what do you think of 'Culture Killed The Native','Temples Of Gold' and You Bought It' Culture Killed The Native and Temples Of Gold where very good albums at that time. You Bought It You Name It was a shitty album with only 2 good songs. Fritz Randow also plays in Saxon. Isn't it to hard to play in both bands No, not at all. The tours a not interfering. Do you think you will tour in order to promote this album We would love to. |
