*Hi Gianni, I'd like to know your musical course before THE ORDER/PURE INC ?
Pure Inc. is my first band that means I'm the original member of the group which was named Pure Yeast before. I never was in another band

*How did you arrive in the world of the music?
I've been asked to join the band Pure Yeast in 94 from a school mate i was the first singer and stayed as the last member of the original line-up but I always liked Guns'n'roses and Skid Row when I was a teenager. Btw: I formed Pure Inc when I was 15 so quite young

*Why did you leave Italy for Switzerland ?
I never left Italy....I was born in Switzerland but my parents are both Italian so I speak italian, german, swiss-German dialekt it's totally diffrent then German. In my heart I'm Italian but switzerland is part of my life it's a very beatiful country but I miss the hot summer's and the beach of course

*How was THE ORDER formed?
by Spring 2-3 years ago. These guys where in Gurd before and tschibu the drumer still is in Gurd

*Which are the influences of the band ?
Almost every Rock'n'Roll, Glam, Sleaze band like Mötley Crüe or Guns'n'Roses or Skid Row etc

*From where does the name of the band come from? And why this name?
The Order derives from "The Order of Skull&bones" a secret society of politicians keeping american secrets and doing some kind of illegal action for and against its own country and the world (nda: “The Skulls” a movie out in 2001 talks about this society”). The Bush family are members. Very dangerous and interesting stuff man, I can tell you.
Furthermore The Order was one of Spring(Guit.) Songs that he
wrote for Gurd but as far as I know didn't make it on one of the albums, or did it? I can't remember

*The first album of THE ORDER was more into modern metal, not a bad album
but just too ordinary. On the other hand your second and new cd "Metal
Casino" is a successful result. Songs are greats, chorus and verses
brillants.
Have you changed your way to compose between the two albums ?
Well the fisrt album was actually written by Spring almost alone on this one everyone in the band tried to bring a bit more of own ideas and influences, I guess that's why maybe you think it's a better album but I think both are great, the one is more metal the other more classic rock it's, at the end, a matter of taste as well so I think it's a good mixture.

*What are your favorites songs on this new album ?
My Last Goodbye, Bridge is Burning, Mama I love...and some more in general I like every Song:-)

*Gianni, you write all lyrics.Where do you draw your inspiration ? It's not too difficult to translate your ideas/moods in english ?
No it's even simple i write about things that happen in the world and to myself and it's quite a lot. I never translate the songs from german to english I write in english from the start on it requires a bit of language knowledge and some slang phrases plus sometimes words used in music but for me it makes more sense to write in english some words are very strong and some other are smooth and gently, I like the English languange a lot

*Can you explain what is a "Metal Casino" for you ?
A Metal Casino is a mind twister and for us a gambling with risk factor.

* You play in two bands at the same time. Don't you think there's a danger
to privilege one band with regard to the other ? And it's not too hard
for your allotment of time for recordings and concerts ?
It can be indeed very stressy and it's important to give both bands the same attention but at the end I'm still the head of Pure Inc. it's my baby and I try to make my job for both band as good as I can. Important is to plan everything at its best and I'm working hardly on it, it's not easy at all but If you like Rock music you make everything for it

*And what the others musicians think about this situation where they must to
share their singer ?
I don't know If someone has a problem with that but in case it will be so it's important that he lets me know so we can speak about it, it doesn't make sense to be upset. In general a musician is a free man and the guys should have respect for that plus it's an advantage for both bands and for me personally a chance to show my skills

*For french, Switzerland has a very good bands (Gotthard, Shakra, Krokus.)
What are your relations with others bands from Switzerland ? Is there a rock
scene in Switzerland ?
There are a lot of Good Swiss Rock/Hard Rock bands but i don't really listen to them, I'm an American/England orientated musician freak. I like Glenn Hughs, Sebastian Bach, Gary Cherone, Chris Cornell, Ian Gillan, Sammy Hagar, Dio, M. James Keenan and these are not swiss musicians, I'm sorry

*And in Italy, do you feel an interest for your music, your bands ?
Not really:-( the Italian metal/rock scene is very big but also very difficult to get in touch with, I don't know why

*Gianni, your voice is amazing. Singers like you are not so numerous. For me
you're a mix between Glenn Hugues, David Coverdale and Ian Gillian. Honestly
I think you are the next Jorn Lande or Jeff Scott Soto ! I suppose a lot of
bands want you. Can you tell me how many bands contact you ? (and their
names ;-)
Hahah that's a funny thing as I wrote down some names of my favorite Singers above you come with the same Singers on this question...very funny. Thanx for your compliment, man I do my best. Well I had some interesting bands wanting me(no names, sorry)but I think I can only be a great singer if I like the sound that i make so in this case what is more important: something your not happy with and earn a bit money or something your happy with and earn less money, some of you would think the first one is the right decision to make but i tell you my opinion. If you achieve something with the music you love it's far more important and overwhelming, believe me, is like love and i don't have to tell you how it is with love. I'm a man doing only things from the heart and I'm used to have a day job plus I think it's even better to have a day job you meat people and have stories for the Lyrics:-)

*Do you think in the future there will be a solo album from Gianni ?
I wish it will happen some day, this is one of my major dreams, nice question:-)

* There will be some gigs with THE ORDER to support your new album ? a date
in France ?
I'm soo sorry man but it doesn't look like we gonna play in france for this year, it would be very great I like your country a lot, you know that:-) only when we play soccer it's different, Italy-France is always a mess i think that's because they're the best soccer teams in the World:-)

*In "Metal Casino" we can hear many influences from 80's hard rock
bands. What do you think of the musical evolution since the Eighties?
Well I hate to be trendy and nowadays everything has to be trendy or some people think they will sell more if it's trendy. A very dangerous thought that keeps the music biz alive but not for a long period of time. I think today works this way: If you sell a lot, your good If you don't your not good, but they all forget that all the bands that are very Big today have spent long time playing in small clubs and not selling a lot but they became a strong band because of that. I think a band needs to develope not to be used.

*What do you think of the Internet, the remote loadings, the mp3's...?
For Big bands it's not the end of the world if you sell only 50'000 instead of 70'000 copies for example but for a small band 1000 more or less means its death. So in general the free loading is not a good thing at all but you can't stop people from doing that, it's impossible. The mp3 is a good thing for travel and it's quite more comfortable then a cd and the Internet is a huge thing it's positive and negative at the same time it's more easier for child abusers to get in touch with children, it's horrible and it's very good for bands and if you are looking for some information in general.
