Hi Steve! Thanks to answer our questions!

Can you tell us about EVER CHANGING TIMES and its recordings?
Well, it’s been 10 years since a proper vocal solo record so my pal and songwritng partner came to me with this idea and it’s all just fell into place! I am very proud of what we came up with.
It’s been now 10 years that you haven’t issued a record with voices on. Why did you wait for so long?
I was doing other kinds of music. More guitar jam bands stuff and Toto did a few records and long tours as well. It’s been REAL busy. Haha!

With the presence of Trev and Tina LUKATHER, continuity is ensured, isn’t it?
It was awesome playing music with my kids! Trev is a real pro and a great songwriter too. He co-wrote New World and Tell Me What You Want From Me and played on them as well. Tina sang BG's on Stab In The Back. I love my kids.

Among all the musicians you have worked with, what are your best (and worst!) memories?
Man, I can't answer this. Let’s just say that I have had a chance to work with so many of my musical heroes. THAT has been a trip and a lot of fun. I have no real BAD memories. I tend to forget them.
Is a new album with Larry Carlton forecast?
Not now but I would love to. I really had a blast and learned a lot from Larry and we won a Grammy a few years back as well! Perhaps in the future

After all these years, are there still artists you would like working with? Are there artists that still impress you?
Would love to work with Peter Gabriel and Genesis but they don’t need me. Haha! There is a lot of good new music coming out. Radiohead, Foo Fighters... I could go on but I love my classic rock and old be-bop and R+B too!

Tell me, do you sometimes have difficulties to set a guitar scheme?
No, not really. It all comes real natural and fast to me. I guess I am lucky that way. I practiced a lot when I was young. Haha

What would you say to our guitarist friends?
You NEVER stop learning. Keep your eyes and ears open and have fun. Learn to groove and play with feel, THEN get all the chops together. You will get work faster and be loved by all. Hahaa

Would you participate to Joe SATRIANI and Steve VAI’s G3?
Joe asked me a few years ago and I would love to. It’s all scheduling. I was honored to be asked. I have played live with Joe and Steve many times and I love them dearly as musicians and as friends too! Who knows? I wouldn’t want to be booed off the stage by extreme shredders. Haha

Any musical emotion lately?
Well I just had a baby daughter Lily Rose. She is 5 months old. She is the next generation. That is my muse for now.

Do you plan to tour in a near future, with a band or solo?

Yes. My solo tour starts late June thru 2009. New band and it’s a ROCK band. It will be all my old solo stuff, new solo stuff, some old weird Toto tunes I wrote and sang, not Rosanna-Africa etc... But MY songs and stuff I sang, obscure stuff and a few covers of songs I did and or wrote for other people. Very cool mix. NO FUSION I promise! Haha I got that out of my system. The musicians are fantastic so there will be great playing just not 20 minute jams. Been there don’t I? Haha I want girls to come to the shows. Hahaha

What are your feelings about the Internet?
It IS the present and future of all media and entertainment. Embrace it or die. Haha

Do you feel that webzines like www.hardrock80.com can help bands or artists in promoting their work?
I would hope so otherwise all the typing I have done will have been for nothing. Haha! Good thing I took typing in school! Haha

What would you say to our readers?
Thanks SO much for all the support and if new, “Hello how are you?”
I hope to see you at a show this coming year. Have a great year!

Many Thanks, Steve!
Thanks to you!
