Hi Joey, Thank you to answer my questions.

1/Can you tell us in few words what happened to you since “Born Again” has been released, both on personal and professional point of view?

It is all kind of “same shit, different day”. The band sounds tighter then it ever has, we get along great and work with no drama which is cool by me. I got married to my longtime girlfriend Shari in 2006 but I think BA wasn’t out then…I can’t remember. Oh yeah, Lane is back in the band also. That was bound to happen sooner or later.

2/What are your passions, your side projects? How do you feel, right now?

I’m starting to get into refurbishing old cars, I already did my boat, “The Face Peeler” (because it is so fast). I have no side projects right now. After Warrant tours and does a new CD this fall I may start something heavy with a few friends.

3/It seems quite exceptional that the 5 original members of the band re-unite for few dates. How could this happen, who originated this?

Well to begin with it is not a few dates, we have over 40 planned already, I just can’t tell you what they are because they haven’t gone on sale yet. To my knowledge as long as we all get along, and we are, we will continue doing this as long as possible. We will record this fall and release a new CD next year.

As for the reunion and how it started…Erik called Jani they started talking about legal bullshit that was hanging over our heads and the conversation went to “let’s put this band back together” and it just happened, it was pretty painless and simple.

4/Are you aware of the excitement created by your come back with the original line-up?

I have read a few posts on our myspace page but beyond that no, I’m not. I hope people will enjoy what we do. I can tell you that we are bring back the full on show, no just standing there and jamming. Our set will be full of many surprises…so come on out and check it out!

5/This come back with the full original team of WARRANT was unexpected for the fans. How do you feel, now as you are all together?

We all get along great. It is like no time has gone by since 1987. This should be a bunch of fun for all of us.

6/Can you tell me if you plan to compose for this reunion and if you plan to record something? Many bands from the “Hard Rock Golden Age” are re-uniting, and sometimes issue a new record. Does this motivate you?

We will record a new CD but not until the fall for a 2009 release.

7/What are your feelings about the revival of Hard US / classic hard rock in the whole world? Do you believe that WARRANT can meet the same success as in the 80’s?

I don’t think that way. Live in the past, die in the past! We are looking forward to giving a 110% kickass live show like we used to, I’m telling you it will be killer.

8/Should you release a new studio album of WARRANT, which color would this have? Would it be in line with Born Again or would you show an evolution to a different style? Or maybe back to the 80’s ?

I would imagine that it will be an extension of what we do best, so Cherry Pie meets Dog Eat Dog meets DRFSR…ha, ha, ha!

9/In 2004, you issued a new edition of Cherry Pie and D.R.F.S.R. with some bonuses (Game Of War, Power – The Gladiator soundtrack, Only A Man and All Night Long). Do you still have some unreleased stuff from the 80’s or the 90’s, and shall we have a package with such material?

There’s all kinds of stuff lying around like that. I can tell you that we are working on a DVD with old L.A. club footage, and some footage from different countries and different tours. That should be released this fall, Jerry is editing it as we speak. There’s some killer live stuff and some funny behind the scenes stuff as well.

10/I saw on WARRANT website that you planned to launch a live DVD. Some fans dream to find on DVD the “old” videos (Quality You Can Taste, …). Is there any chance to get them on DVD (bonus on the forthcoming DVD or something like that) ?

We will see. We may release all the old videos as a compilation some day.

11/How did you feel when WARRANT was low, after the launching of Dog Eat Dog, due to the grunge apparition? Have you ever thought to quit the business, then?

It sucked, I did and we are back to kick your ass!

12/Looking backwards, what do you think of Born Again? Was it a mistake or a continuity in WARRANT career?

Born Again was a good CD sonically and song-wise. This band will stop at nothing to play live and make music. There have been countless musicians in this band, different sounding records, everything you can imagine. The true love of music is what has kept this band alive for 20 years. If anyone has a problem with that…well then…I hope you enjoy your day job!

13/Among the WARRANT discography, which album are you proud of?

Truly…Dog Eat Dog. We had a GREAT producer, the song content was diverse and the sound was killer for us.

14/Do you remember when WARRANT opened for IRON MAIDEN in Paris – France ? Do you have memories of this show?

Yep, we got shit thrown at us for the first half of the first song and ended up winning over the fans (I think)…we closed that show with Accept’s “Balls to the Wall”. I also got to sit behind Nicko’s kit drinking beers that night while he slammed it…amazing…great guy!

15/How does it fell for an artist to have filled huge arenas back in the 80’s and play today in smaller venues?

It is not the size that counts!

16/A lot of fans would dream to see you on stage in Europe and in France. Can we hope this dream to come true?

Warrant never toured Europe enough to have a decent following over there. We may play if we can get onto some of the larger festivals but as far as coming over to play clubs…it will NEVER happen, it is too much of a beating.

17/Should you have the possibility to set a side project, just for fun, for just one album, who would you like working with?

Chuck Miller on bass (Soulbender), Vinnie Paul on drums, Rob Halford on vocals and me on guitar.

18/I Leave you the final words to your fans :

Thank you for the continued support. See you on tour in 2008!

19/I wish to thank you again to have answered my questions !

Thank you also Joel !

Cheers,
