Hr80: Hi! First time we did an interview was when you just released your 4 track demo. Tell us what happened since then:
Dani: Oh man, a lot! We did get a record deal on that demo and signed a contract with Smilodon records. In February 2005 we released our debut album “Cracked Wide Open And Bruised” and toured in Scandinavia and Germany. We started writing new songs in August/September and went into the studio again in October to record what ended up to be “Doin’ You Nasty”, a sleaze-rockin’-hard-bashin’-ass-kickin’-record!

HR80: 'Cracked Wide Open & Bruised' has been given good reviews everywhere, even in the mighty 'Classic Rock'! How do you feel about all this?
Dani: I mean it’s great! When you make music that you love and it ends up being enjoyed by others… it’s real nice!

HR80: Your second album is about to be released by the end of March. Can you tell us about it?
Dani: It’s called “Doin’ You Nasty” and we recorded it in Decibel Studios (Stockholm) together with the amazing Lasse Mårtén (Blindside etc.). We’re very satisfied with this record, Lasse really made us do great stuff and he crafted a bombastic production!

Hr80: Your first album was released just one year ago. What are the main differences between the two albums?
Dani: Well, they both got great songs on them. On “Cracked…” we didn’t really know in which direction our style was going so when you look back now I think that it could have used a bit more “punch” in the sound and a little more guitar… more hard-rockin’ sound. All that is fixed on “Doin’…”.

HR80: You worked with a different producer, was it a big change for you?
Dani: Yeah, the producer on “Cracked…”, Fredrik “Ludde” Lundberg did a great job with that album but Lasse Mårtén has got some great experience and have worked with artist like Blindside, Pink, Kelly Clarkson etc. He was really easy to work with and we got along very well!

HR80: Mia Coldheart of Crucified Barbara makes a guest appearance on 'Doin You Nasty'. Can you tell us about this collaboration?
Dani: She’s a really good friend and when we came up with the idea of having a guest vocalist on the album it was an easy choice, she came down to the studio and sang on “Louder” (The first single of the album). After a few beers we convinced her to sing on another track as well, “Proud” a mid-tempo ballad kind of song, both turned out great.

HR80: Did you have the songs already written or did you write the new songs during 2005?
Dani: Yeah, all songs were written during 2005, actually all songs were written during the last half of 2005. When I’m in the mood songs just “pour out” of me… hehe

HR80: What are the countries you toured in? What's it like to tour in Europe?
Dani: So far we have toured Scandinavia and Germany but we are working on a tour in Italy, not confirmed yet though. We would like to tour every country in Europe and the rest of the world because touring is just a blast! Europe is great, lots of nice dudes, beautiful girls and tasty beer!

HR80: Will you tour for this new album? Any plans yet?
Dani: We’re touring Sweden right now then we will do a mini-tour in Germany then back to tour Sweden. As I said maybe a Italian tour and some festivals in Sweden and Germany. We’re trying to fix a bigger European tour for this autumn, keep your fingers crossed!

HR80: You are often seen with t-shirts of old 80's band. What are your favorites?
Dani: I like a lot of bands… I’ll name drop a few, D.A.D, Faster Pussycat, L.A Guns, Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, Guns n’ Roses, Poison etc. etc

HR80: You did a cover of Mötley Crüe's 'Too Fast For Love'. Will this song be released one day? As a B-side?
Dani: I don’t think so. The recording is good but not good enough for printing.

HR80: Do you know the cover of this song by The Donnas? Did it inspire you?
Dani: You know what… I didn’t know they had recorded it! Now I have to buy it and listen to it. The Donnas are great, they have a cool raw sound, I like it!

HR80: Do you plan on recording other covers?
Dani: We’re not planning that but we have talked about recording 4-5 covers just for fun, songs from different bands that have inspired us. I mean if they get good you’ll probably hear them later on a tribute record or on a B-side or something.

HR80: I give you a name of a Swedish band, and you tell me what you think about it:
Shotgun Messiah: Zinny Zan, a good friend. Love the first album.
Glorious Bankrobbers: Yeah, one of my favorite Swedish bands. Every time I meet Jonas (Guitarist in G.B) I tell him to get the band together again.
Europe: Lots of good songs, they were big as hell, respect!
Backyard Babies: Great band, good songs.
Hardcore Superstar: Awesome guys, kicks most bands asses when it comes to play live!
Drain Sth: Good band with good lookin’ girls, I don’t remember any songs though.
The Cardigans: Works on the stereo wouldn’t care about seeing them live.
Abba: Amazing career! Some good songs, not my bag.

HR80: One last word for the French people who'll read this interview:
Dani. We really, really hope to get the chance to come play in France as soon as possible! Stay sleazy and keep on rokkin’! Thanx J-P!

HR80: Thanx a lot!
